Initiatives for KW
Current Initiatives and Upcoming Projects
Recently, our team was able to build a community pantry at 100 Victoria St with support from the community. Also, we envision a future of housing first initiatives and more warming centers to protect our unhoused community.
Community Pantry
October - December 2025

The struggle for clean, safe food consumption for the residents was becoming a larger issue, especially with rodents infiltrating the residents' space at the 100 Victoria St encampment. The pantry allows for safe food distribution and people recieve meals with dignity and respect they deserve.
Housing Initiatives
Upcoming Projects
Housing First projects have been seen as effective across the world - Japan, Finland, & Iceland - but also within our own community through modular, tiny homes or even renovating single office spaces into homes. Our team is actively working on ways we can create housing first programs that provide residents with social supports, mental health and wellness programs, and a community foundation.
Warming Centers
Upcoming Projects
Creating safe spaces for the homeless community in our region to access resources, food, and warmth while surviving on the streets. Warming Centers are crucial for the harsh winters Canadians face and our team wants to resolve this issue for upcoming winters.
